Earth is, and also represents the environment which supports us. It is the equal place from which we all begin our lives. Earth is balance - where each life gets equal value, equal time and equal resources. This is our center, the place we are able to maintain when we are at our center.

The Earth element is responsible for distributing available resources equally between the other four elements. In Fire, we give back to the environment. What is our legacy? What have we given to Earth to distribute to the next generation? If we have been stingy and withholding in our Fire element, the Earth element has to start downsizing in order to make sure all other elements get equal amounts.

Earth is the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. As we move out of Fire with satisfaction, happiness and a desire to give back, we move into Earth, for restoration and maintenance. We become a resource for others. We work to restore the environment, appreciative of all it has given us on our personal journey, and to make it a better place than when we found it.

In Earth, we tend and nurture, leaving a legacy of integrity, balance and increased beauty.
