10am to 2pm

Are you a parent of a “lost” teen? Do you worry that your child does not have the interest or initiative to take care of themselves in the world? Are you fearful that the world is moving on, leaving your child on the couch? Do you despair that your child has lost the desire and ability to speak good English, or read books, or understand math? Are you upset about the amount of time they spend texting or on the computer? Then this class is for you!!

In the model of the the Five Harmonics™, each of us go through five distinctly different cycles in our lives, all designed to evolve a different part of the self. Once we reach age 69, if we have mastered those cycles, we are able to effortlessly move in and out of all parts of our personality - the wonder of the child, the passion of the teen, the drive of the young adult, the relaxation and confidence of the adult, and the wisdom of the elder.

From age 14 to age 27, we are traversing the world of Water. Water is the cycle that moves away from the tribal structures and truths to experience life through Archetypes. "The use of archetypes to illuminate personality and literature was advanced by Carl Jung early in the 20th century, who suggested the existence of universal contentless forms that channel experiences and emotions, resulting in recognizable and typical patterns of behavior with certain probable outcomes". (quote from Wikipedia)

The ages 14 to 27 govern the period of emotional development. During these years, we learn the nature of reality, the role emotion plays in manifestation, the power of intent, and how we create what we think, feel and say.
When we do not understand the purpose of emotions, or provide a strong, sacred context in which to develop emotionally, our teens go through very stressful self-initiations without tribal support. This can lead to extreme fear, depression, cutting, suicidal tendencies and lack of motivation. Water is the primary element of these years, and like a lake, water tends to sit still until an external force moves it. This class will help you understand the kinds of structures that can be built to channel teen energy into its natural state of exploration with safety.

This class will challenge many of the beliefs we hold dear. The world has changed, and it is no longer the world we once prepared our childeren to enter. The world they will be building has not yet arrived. In this void point, it is crucial that rather than force our children down a path littered with the debris of the past, we guide them firmly into preparing for a new future. My wish is that, if you are a parent, you leave here with light bulbs popping over your head, and that you feel empowered to help your child(ren) get ready for a new world. If you are a teen, my wish is that you leave here excited about your life and eager to jump into a grand new adventure!
