| Spring February 4, 2008 The Season of Action
You could think of this time as a birthing process. During the three months of winter, we are gestating - giving new ideas and thoughts the room to grow and develop. This winter, we have been forced to look at some hard facts - in particular, that the structures we have taken for granted are no longer working. As a nation, we have squandered our goodwill and our resources. As individuals, we are seeing where clinging to victim reality is hurting us. As we enter the birth canal, it will be important for us to really choose what we are bringing into the world for this next year. So this newsletter focuses on three things. First, what are you birthing. Second, how will you prepare your "landing strip" to ground what you are birthing into the physical world. And third, how can you utilize the energy of spring to make your birth easier. Okay, let's start with what you're birthing. There is a new way of being in the air. You can see it in the excitement over the presidential race. You can hear it in people's voices, passion and hope and belief that a turning point has been reached. How would you like your life to be different? What would make you happy? (sorry, money is not the right answer - what do you want the money for?) WHO would you like to be? A better version of yourself? Someone completely different? Stronger? More confident? Healthier? Did you get a great idea over the winter and are ready to spring it on the world? Whatever you are hoping for this year, make sure you are absolutely clear what that looks like. Put up a vision board. Be specific and succinct. KNOW what you want before you take any action. Now, let's talk about preparing your landing strip. Before you can attract that thing that you desire, you have to change your life so that when that thing arrives, it has a place to settle down and stick. (Because really, if your landing strip was already built, you would have the thing you are longing for already). Spring is the time of taking action. So what action can you take that, when your birthing process is over, will guarantee a healthy delivery? One thing I can say with certainty is that your physical body MUST be in shape and in good relationship with the rest of you for any type of success. No matter what your success looks like, if your body is hurting and sick and used up, there is no success. So this is a perfect time to make a commitment to your success via your physical body. Get a personal trainer once a week. Take a yoga class (Andrea Gerasimo is a wonderful teacher). Get a buddy (or a dog) and walk every day. (be sure to leave your cell phone at home). Take the time to enjoy your physicality. Your body is your personal little piece of Mother Earth. The better you treat it, the more abundance it brings you. Seriously! Try it and see! Action is a physical event. Spring is the time of action. Whether you are birthing a new business, a new business idea, a new home or car, a new relationship, an exotic trip - your physical body will absolutely be involved in the process. The better your relationship is with your body, the easier the birth will be, and the stronger your landing strip will become. So, think about how you can prepare yourself for that magical thing that's flying to you right this minute, and then light some candles, practice your breathing, and let your new life be born. Happy Spring!
